The Northwest School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school serving grades 6-12 on an urban campus in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Founded in 1980, Northwest provides an interdisciplinary liberal arts education built on sequential, cross-disciplinary study in the humanities, sciences, and arts, nurturing compassionate, globally aware, and environmentally conscious individuals who find joy in learning.
Northwest is the only boarding program in Seattle, with 5- and 7-day boarding options that put students in the heart of a vibrant, walkable city. The arts are central to the academic program, which offers more than 50 arts courses, and students learn in a healthy, creative, and collaborative atmosphere of respect for themselves, others, and the environment.
