We’re delighted to invite you to the third annual IECA School Symposium, New Horizons: A Western Gathering of Schools & Consultants, hosted by Cate School and held in partnership with the Western Boarding Schools Association.
This year’s symposium brings together independent educational consultants (IECs) and school admissions leaders for a meaningful day of learning, connection, and community. You’ll spend the day alongside IECs and fellow school representatives, sharing perspectives, exchanging ideas, and forging the kinds of connections that make our work stronger.
The symposium will also feature a keynote from leadership coach and speaker Rebecca Malotke-Meslin on communicating with clarity, compassion, and confidence to build relationships that last.

Travel information
Participants are responsible for their own travel and hotel arrangements. The designated symposium hotel is the Holiday Inn in Carpinteria, with booking details provided in your registration confirmation.
For attendees traveling from E3N’s 2026 Annual Conference (Enroll26), Cate School is approximately a three-hour drive from San Diego. Participants may also fly into:
- Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA): approximately 30 minutes from Carpinteria
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): approximately 2 hours from Carpinteria
