Menaul School

Menaul School is a college preparatory day and boarding school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, founded in 1896, with a long history of welcoming students from around the world (approximately 20-30 countries represented each year). Menaul School provides the foundation for life-long learning and ethical leadership and prepares students – in mind, body, and spirit – to be World Smart and serve as responsible global citizens.

While at Menaul School, students can earn Advanced Placement (AP) and dual credits, participate in short-term global exchanges, and prepare for their future. Situated on 32 acres, the tree-shaded campus provides a quiet, college-like environment. Menaul School has 12 buildings, including dormitories, classrooms, cafeteria, two gyms, soccer and football fields on campus. The school provides a variety of extracurricular activities, music, drama, fine arts, athletics, after school clubs and weekend activities for students. Dedicated dorm parents supervise boarding students.

With a total student body of 200, students at Menaul receive individualized attention with a 7:1 student to teacher ratio and average class sizes of 12-15. Our students are accepted to world-class universities, and it’s also important to note that students who graduate with a diploma from Menaul School are automatically eligible for a tuition-FREE pathway at public universities in New Mexico (which can represent tuition savings of over $30,000 per year)

Menaul School has a bi-lateral exchange program with Löwenrot Gymnasium in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Each year in April, a group of Löwenrot students travels to Albuquerque, attends classes at Menaul School, stays with host families, and visits important cultural sites in New Mexico. Then, in the summer, a group of Menaul students travels to St. Leon-Rot (near Heidelberg) to experience German customs and culture first-hand, staying with local hosts, visiting world-famous castles and monuments, and taking intro to German language. Löwenrot Gymnasium has beautiful, modern facilities, a wide selection of course offerings, and friendly teachers and students. Menaul School and its students are grateful for the opportunity to partner with this school.
