Spring Street International School is a non-profit, independent, co-educational day and boarding school in Friday Harbor, Washington, on San Juan Island. Founded in 1995, the school serves about 75 students in grades 6-12 with an 8:1 student-teacher ratio and an average class size of ten.
Advanced academics meet hands-on, expeditionary learning: fall backpacking in the North Cascades, May Term expeditions in the United States and abroad, and coursework ranging from marine biology to Advanced Placement offerings. Intensive ESL instruction, individualized college counseling, and a close-knit residential community in a beautiful island setting have placed graduates at highly ranked universities.
